Terms of Service
What These Terms Cover
These Terms of Service describe the relationship between you and FIX Restoration when you use this website or request services. By contacting us, submitting a form, or signing a work-authorization agreement, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these terms. The signed work-authorization form you receive before any job begins is the governing document for the actual service relationship, these website terms set the context around it.
Service Area and Estimates
FIX Restoration provides water damage, fire damage, mold remediation, and related restoration services to residential and commercial properties in Utah. We reserve the right to decline or refer work outside our current service area or beyond our licensed scope.
Any estimate, quote, or range of cost we provide, whether by phone, email, or on-site walkthrough, is an assessment based on visible and accessible conditions at the time of inspection. It is not a binding contract. Pricing can change if hidden damage is discovered once work begins (for example, water behind a finished wall that was not detectable during the initial visit). A signed work-authorization form, which will clearly describe the agreed scope and pricing, is required before any billable work starts.
Payment Terms
Payment terms, accepted methods, and any deposit requirements are outlined in your work-authorization agreement. We coordinate directly with most major insurance carriers when a covered loss is involved, which can reduce or eliminate out-of-pocket costs for eligible claims. However, the property owner or authorized representative remains ultimately responsible for any balance not covered by insurance. We do not guarantee coverage determinations, those decisions rest with your carrier.
Scope of Work and Changes
The scope described in your signed authorization governs what work will be performed. If conditions discovered during the job require a material change to that scope, we will communicate with you before proceeding and document any amendment in writing. Verbal agreements to expand or reduce scope do not modify the written authorization.
FIX Restoration operates as a licensed contractor under Utah state regulations. Our liability is limited to the work performed under the signed authorization. We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions, code violations unrelated to our scope, or damage caused by delays in your authorization of necessary work.
Insurance Coordination
When you authorize us to communicate with your insurance carrier, we will share documentation, photographs, moisture readings, scope of loss reports, necessary to support your claim. We do not share your information with any third party beyond what you specifically authorize. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how information is handled.
Dispute Resolution
If a dispute arises from services provided, we ask that you contact us directly at [email protected] or (801) 930-9750 so we can work toward a resolution. If direct resolution is not possible, disputes will be governed by the laws of the State of Utah, with venue in Utah County.
